'Torn' showing at 231LondonRoad's Ruin and Repair exhibition

Torn, an assemblage of oil paint on paper, will be shown at 231LondonRoad's 'Ruin and Repair' exhibition in St Leonards, East Sussex. The group exhibition will run from 20 June to 11 July, and is sponsored and supported by Hundred House's Industry & Art Programme.

This work of oil on ripped gessoed paper is an effort to become less precious when painting. It's torn, painted, stuck down with glue and paper tape, and elements are also raised off the surface creating volume and texture.
